Senator Chuck Grassley just released actual FBI emails — proving the agency pulled the plug on an investigation into alleged Chinese interference in the 2020 election to protect ... FBI Director Christopher Wray from political embarrassment?
Nutshell:
➡️ In September 2020, the FBI’s Albany Field Office filed a report saying a Confidential Human Source claimed the Chinese government was pumping out fake driver’s licenses to fuel a mail-in ballot scheme for Joe Biden. 👀
➡️ The source? Deemed “competent,” “authentic,” and “very, very confident.”
➡️ The FBI’s response? Recall the report immediately — because it might “contradict Director Wray’s testimony.”
Seriously. They didn’t even deny the info was credible — they just didn’t want it making Wray look bad. Politics over truth?
One FBI analyst even said the quiet part out loud:
“It gets dangerous if we cite political implications as reasons for not putting out our information.”
To make it worse, Wray testified to Congress just the day before this was buried — saying there was no real mail-in ballot fraud and that the FBI would "investigate aggressively."

The FBI also slapped a “Headquarters Only” label on any election-related intel. So, no more local field office input — just a tightly controlled pipeline that apparently shielded politics, not the people.
Fast forward to now:

Grassley finally got the docs declassified. And yet ... he FBI still didn’t do a real investigation. No follow-up. No accountability. Nada.
💥 Bottom line: The agency that’s supposed to protect election integrity may have deliberately buried a legitimate threat — just to save face.
So yeah, this stinks. And we’re not just talking about bad politics — we’re talking about national security.
It’s time for transparency. It’s time for accountability. And it’s definitely time for the FBI to remember who they work for. HINT: US.
