GA Judge Hands Fulton County Election Board Dems Their Hats

August 7, 2025

In May, Democrat Commissioners on the Fulton County Board of Elections refused to fulfill their duty to confirm two lawfully nominated Board Members, because the Dems decided the nominees were icky Republicans who support election integrity and transparency.

This week, Fulton County Superior Court Senior Judge David Emerson handed them their hats, noting that finding that the Fulton County Commission did "not have the discretion to disapprove an otherwise qualified nominee."

Judge Emerson made it clear that the statutory language "shall" means mandatory, and you can't unilaterally and unlawfully refuse to confirm legal and qualified nominees who give your heartburn over their quest for election accuracy and transparency.

This is not just a win for Fulton County Voters, or the State of Georgia - it sets a national precedent that election fairness starts with the people chartered to uphold it.
