There are no words to express our grief and devastation at the loss of America's friend Charlie through an heinous act of political violence.

According to former Congressman Jason Chaffetz, nearly the last words Charlie spoke to America were "I believe in Jesus Christ."

On behalf of our leadership, staff and our nationwide network of advocates and partners, we pray that God will grant His peace and comfort beyond understanding to Erika, their children, his parents, and all who loved Charlie.

He taught us how to reach out to young people, and that all young people - from the devout religious to transgender and everyone in between - MATTER.


In our work as protectors of American's political voices, we must remember this that we learned from Charlie.
